Who we are

American Child Inc. is an educational center for young children. We are located in Historic Downtown Statesville. Founded in 1999,  American Child's goal is to create a premier center that recognizes children as our world's greatest resource.

 

American Child is not a daycare, rather, it provides a learning environment that is often associated with preschool and private schools. It is our goal to help children discover knowledge and their own individuality through love, understanding, and guidance.

American Child has been owned and directed by Piper Cline for 20 years. Piper has a degree in early childhood education from Catawba College in Salisbury. After teaching in elementary school for thirteen years, she opened American Child, Inc. Her husband, Jimmy Holcombe joined her in 2010. Together they own and operate American Child, Inc. They enjoy working with and getting to know the importance of being an active part of the center daily.
